7 Wedding Trends We Expect to See in 2018

If you’ve been following our blog, you may have seen Part 1 of “7 Wedding Trends We Expect to See in 2018.” If not, check it out here! From food to decor to music, there were so many creative and fun wedding trends which emerged last year. One of our favorite things about weddings is seeing how couples incorporate personal, unique details into their big day. We also love seeing wedding trends from Pinterest and Instagram come to life at our venue.

2017 at Goodwin Manor was a year of beautiful weddings cordinated by creative brides and extremely talented wedding pros. At Goodwin Manor in Little Rock, Arkansas, we have seen couples embrace their creative, trendy side more than ever before. And we’re not going to lie - it makes hosting their weddings here even more fun and exciting! We can already tell that 2018 will bring just as many fun, unique weddings to Goodwin Manor. We can’t wait for all the lovely couples to celebrate their big day with us. Here are 3 more wedding trends we’re expecting to see!!

5) Balloons. One decor trend we’ve seen: balloons! It can mean using balloons to fill an entire ceiling or wall to make for great photo opportunities. Or it can mean something more simply like balloons marking each table number. Either way, balloons are a fun decor trend that can also be classy while making a statement.

6) Silver. 2016 and 2017 saw a lot of gold and rose gold color palettes. And while we adore a good gold-hued color palette, we’re ready for the silver metallic colors to make a comeback in 2018. Plus, silver blends flawlessly with Pantone’s 2018 color of the year, Ultra Violet. We expect to see a spike in this color combo coming later this year as bright, bold hues are intoduced for spring and summer weddings.

7) Acrylic. One material trend we expect to see in 2018 is the use of acrylic. Couples will continue to use acrylic elements throughout their wedding planning, including with the use of clear acrylic invitations and even over-sized acrylic escort card boards. We love the clean, modern look that doesn’t detract from the organic feeling of an outdoor ceremony.   What wedding trends have you noticed in 2017/2018? Did you use any of these in your wedding?
